Redds” of RedBoyproductions has been producing music for years and is an upcoming producer and engineer his talent stems from a musical background since the late 80’s. At a very young age, his dad would play the Tenor Saxophone around the house and Redds would listen and learn about scales and other musical compositional structure.

During his high school years, “Redds” became known as “Jazz Bo” because he loved to play the clarinet and jazz was his choice of music. As time went on Redds always had a love for hip-hop, he would listen to all of his favorites, Krs-One, Run-DMC,LL Cool J, Doug E. Fresh, Large Professor, DMX, Big Daddy Kane etc  just to name a few. Time went on and Redds became interested in creating music, he purchased his first production piece of equipment in 1990, it was a Rodger Linn MPC-60 alongside Protools which was then called Sound Tools.

Today Redds has established himself as a great producer and engineer, working with major and local talent small and large businesses as well. During his musical career, Redds has had the opportunity to meet DjKool, a famous artist and producer of the hit song “Let me clear my throat”. DjKool has mentored Redds with knowledge and wisdom in the game of hip-hop which is seldom found in today’s hip-hop industry. Kool and Redds are good friends today.

During his short time assisting with WPGC 95.5FM alongside Big Tigger, DJ Flex, Rain, Hercules, and DJ Storm, Bones. Redds has had the opportunity to meet a wide vast of major hip-hop R&B artist and actors. Terrance Howard, Lil BowWow, Chuck Brown, Ryan Leslie, Day6, DJ LilBoy (T-Pane), Gee of Grand Hustle (T.I.), Kas of Kas Collections, Luther of Columbia Records and Many Many more Major artist and Actors.

Redds continues to produce hip-hop and R&B music for local and Major Artist in the DMV Area.
